Day 39- June 25th

Happy June 25th! We had a mello day in Kazakhstan as we entertained Katie and tried to find things to do while she slept. The weather was bad today so our plans of going to visit Jen and Jesse got canceled. Luckily, we were able to make it out for a cold walk in the afternoon (the pictures are below).
Well, we got word this morning that there are currently seats on the flight leaving Uzbekistan on Friday night, so we are going to book the tickets and trust that God will provide Katie's passport in time. If it all works right, we may be home only one day later than originally planned. We will still have to pay extra fees to rearrange the flights, but our only other option of waiting an extra seven days is not an option any more; apparently that flight is fully booked! (We sure hope that passport gets here!)
Thank you for continuing to pray that we can make it home. We are all ready to be back in our own home (well, at least Kevin and Sarah are; Katie probably thinks this apartment is our permanent home). We hope you have a great day!

Second to bath time, Katie's other favorite part of the day is
just after her bath when she can roll around on her towel

Daddy was tired of holding Katie and trying to
read his book so he got resourceful

We love Katie's little pink beanie cap

She loves it too because it means she gets to go outside

Today we walked to a beautiful park in the old part of the city

There were some beautiful figures in the fountain

This soccer ball plant is outside the arena near our apartment

Another beautiful city park; it was built while we were here

Katie loves her walks!
