Day 33 - June 19th

What a great first father's day! We both woke up to the pleasant sounds of a baby stirring in the crib. At first we didn't know what the noise was (since it was our first morning with Katie), but as soon as we realized that we had a little baby with us. Usually you wake up from a good dream and realize that it wasn't reality, but today we had the exact opposite happen; our dream came true!
We didn't do a whole lot today. Mainly we just sat around the apartment and played. Daddy had to walk down to the grocery store to get some supplies, then we all went out for a short stroll by the river. Katie really loved her front-pack; it let her move her limbs and see everyone and everything around. When it became evening, we settled down for a good ol' Father's Day dinner of hamburgers, corn and salad.
Well, today's pictures pretty much tell the rest of our story; we finally have our little girl and we couldn't be happier! We are adjusting to the changes that parenthood brings. We're also trying to learn what foods Katie eats, when she gets tired and how long she sleeps. Luckily, we did realize that she can sleep through most of the night (we only got up once at 3 a.m., but she went right back down). We hope to have all new pictures for you tomorrow, so check back again, and have a happy Father's Day (especially Dan and Steve!).

We had so much fun playing in bed this morning!

We enjoyed our first outing today; a walk by the river

Momma also got to swing with Katie on the playground

One of Katie's frequent "pauses" when she gets lost in thought

No, we didn't let her sit in a chair by herself; we actually
improvised a high chair by wrapping a blanket around her.

Getting ready for bath time!

Katie loves her own little tub

"Hey! Get that camera out of here. I'm talking a bath here!"

Katie is always in a great mood after her bath

It was a great first Ffather's Day for Daddy!
