Day 30 - June 16th |
Today we got some great news! While we
were sitting in the lobby waiting to get Katie, Erken showed up and
started telling us some information through Dinara. She was translating
as he was speaking, pausing now and then to listen to him. Midway in
the translation, while she was reiterating something about Saturday
being a special "Doctor's day" in Kazakhstan, she suddenly
looked at Erken and burst out "Really? Wow!" She immediately
turned to us and happily said, "You can take Katie with you on
Saturday." At first, we thought maybe she meant just for the day,
but then she told us that it would be for good. We were so excited we
could hardly contain it. Saturday is five days sooner than we were supposed
to get her! Needless to say, we were bouncing off the walls the rest
of the day, and Katie seemed to be excited too. It is so great knowing
that we only have to visit her one more day, then she is ours for good!
We just wrote an update letter about the good news. If you haven't seen it, go to the Update Letters page to read it. |
Lots of kisses were given out today |
Katie was really happy; we think she sensed the great news |
She was laughing, smiling... |
and showing off for the camera |
We brought back her crinkly book today, which she loved |
She's getting really good at sitting up (with only a little help) |
Towards the end of the day she got really sleepy; I guess Mommy and Daddy really wore her out, but they were just so excited! |
When Sarah put Katie down, it really seemed like Kaite didn't want her to leave; only one more day of saying goodbye! |
