::ADOPTION::ABOUT THE COUNTRY::

Kazakhstan is located between Russia and China. It was originally part of the U.S.S.R., but then became its own country in 1991. Currently the country is made up of over 15 million people from the following ethnic groups: Kazakh (Qazaq) 53.4%, Russian 30%, Ukrainian 3.7%, Uzbek 2.5%, German 2.4%, Uygur 1.4%, and other 6.6%. This means that children in Kazakhstan have complexions ranging from European to Asian, and everywhere in between.

We are adopting from an orphanage in Astana, the capitol of Kazakhstan. Learn more about Astana.
